Becky Erickson

General Manager

August of 2011 marked Becky's 16th year as Leader at PM Steamers, and she couldn't have a more dedicated or loyal staff if she tried! Her passion for the restaurant and the 60+ families who rely on it for their livelihood is unsurpassed in the area (or even the state!)

Becky is an avid gardener, which may have something to do with the amount of support she pours into other Michigan farmers and suppliers. PM Steamers, more than any other restaurant on the shore, has a supreme appreciation for locally- and Michigan-grown produce, which is evident in our menu.

When Becky isn't at Steamers (is she ever not at Steamers!?), she loves antiquing, cooking, and travelling around Michigan with her husband, Jon and crazy Labrador, Tess - to name a few activities. Her mantra at work is "we are always learning, we are always teaching", a great phrase to live by, don't you think?

Andrew Betka

Dining Room Manager

If there is one thing you should know about Andrew, it's that he truly loves to offer guests a unique, personalized experience while at PM Steamers. As a born-and-raised local, Andrew carries with him an immense appreciation for the Lake Michigan shoreline, sharing it's many secrets and stories with visitors and locals alike.

Andrew began his career at Steamers as a 14 year-old server assistant. The days of clearing dishes and refilling water made way for greeting and seating guests as a host, which in turn prepared Andrew for the challenge of serving. In the winter of 2008, Andrew accepted the position of Assistant Manager in the Dining Room - a true honor.

When Andrew isn't in the restaurant, he's most likely beach-combing at the Bass Lake Outlet (searching for Michigan-shaped driftwood is usually the goal) or kayaking at Land 'O Sand, the childhood home of the Betka clan. A lover of anything 'Michigan', Andrew truly believes we can each do our part to support the state in which we live (or visit!)

Mike Russell

Head Chef

Mike is one of the newest additions to the PM Steamers team, and it's sure to be a great, long-lasting relationship. He was promoted to the Head Chef of our kitchen in early Autumn, 2010 after a two-month internship. Mike is a recent graduate of the Great Lakes Culinary Institute in Traverse City, MI.

With creative twists and inventive ideas, Mike has already begun to put his spin on the PM Steamers menu, debuting such dishes as Watermelon Gazpacho and Fresh Salmon with Peanut Butter-Pineapple Preserve glaze. His passion in the kitchen is evident, and he is just as passionate as Andrew and Becky when it comes to supporting Michigan farms, suppliers, and wineries.

Mike's ultimate goal here at Steamers is to provide every guest with the freshest, most well-prepared meal possible.
